I am doing something a little different today for Tasty Tuesdays. At the beginning of the summer I revived a comment from a good friends mother. She follows Blissful and Domestic and had a cooking question. Well I always meant to reply, but her e-mail sat in my inbox, waiting for a reply, for obviously way too long. Today I decided to address her question and figured to do it here, since some of you may benefit as well. Here is what Grandma Suzzy asked:
"since you are such a good cook, I have a need maybe you have some insight to: we have a wood fired pizza oven hubby built for me...after pizzas, we usually prepare a few whole chickens to roast using the leftover oven heat. I often, though, lack many creative ways to utilize that roast chicken meat, other than to add bbq sauce for sandwiches and for enchiladas. If you have any more ideas...when you get a chance...I sure would love to hear them!"
So here is what I came up with. I decided to do some blog hopping research to find some awesome recipes,. which would be perfect with Grandma Suzzy's leftover chicken meat.
The first blog I thought to check out was Chef in Training. I always find awesome recipes there. I went to her word cloud in her left column and clicked on "chicken". Here are some of the fabulousness I found.
You can use the same ingredients, but cook it on the stove, since your chicken is already cooked.
Just again add all ingredients to your precooked chicken

I thought of Chicken Pot Pie. This is a great way to use leftover chicken.
Chicken Alfredo Pizza. I use this recipe and it is oh so yummy!
