Nature Walks and Growing Closer to God...

Hello sweet friends. I've been thinking a lot here lately of what God has in store for me and what He really wants for me. This world that we live in is so fast moving and if we're not careful it can sweep us up and away in all it's frenzy. That got me to thinking a while back on how to slow it all down and find peace. I began to really think hard about God's creation and how it all started. Do you remember?

God created us and set us right down in the middle of a lush forest, with a garden right in it's center. He could have placed us anywhere, in a little house, or a cold dark cave, but He chose a forest filled with lush green, surrounded by all the creatures he'd made for us to enjoy and care for. I truly believe that that means something and if we really want to find peace and restoration, we needn't look any farther than the woods.

I'm not talking about a little trail at your favorite park or a concrete path, no, no, no, what I'm talking about is getting deep into the woods way off the beaten path. Dirt underneath your feet on a winding trail where you are engulfed in a sea of green. This my friend is where you'll find renewal.

If heading into the woods all alone gives you the heebie jeebies, I hear ya sista, here's my little secret. Take the husband and kiddos along too, but here's the key, send them waaaaaay ahead so that you'll feel completely alone but if a bear were to cross your path, the family could still hear your blood curdling screams- ha. Seriously, this is exactly how I accomplish being alone. You may be a way braver soul than I and not mind heading into the woods alone- you go girl.

Whatever your method, get off the beaten path as often as possible, get deep into those woods and watch your spirit be lifted and experience God's renewal in your life.

He came for us...

Earlier last week, while doing a bit of evening scripture study, I came across a scripture that pierced my heart. It went straight into my soul and was like a fresh breath of air. In Mark chapter 2 verse 17 it reads, "They that are whole have no need for the physician, but they that are sick: I came not for the righteous, but sinners to repent". What a truly glorious message!

I am sick y'all...not like health wise, but spiritual wise. I think we all are to one degree or another. I am VERY imperfect. I stumble and I fall constantly. Even though I have read this specific scripture multiple times, It really stood out to me.

I am rejoicing today to know that it is ok that I am flawed. It is ok that I fall short everyday in the things that God has in stored for me. God knew I would and that is why He sent His son. He sent Him, so we may be saved. So we may be able to be made whole....made perfect...because on our own we only fall short.

I hope you too find joy in this message. God is so very good. I know that when we are struggling, He is waiting to carry us. Over the past year and a half, He's been carrying me because I was to weak to stand on my own. I would have times when I was stronger and times when I was not, but I always felt those loving arms around me...telling me it would be alright.

He is mindfull of us everyday. I pray you feel Him today. I pray I listen to His promptings today. He knows so much more than I.

Have a beautiful day lovelies!

We Are Not God FREE 8x10 Print

We Are Not God 8x10 Free Print
Print 8x10 HERE

Last week I was on instagram and saw this quote. It spoke to my heart and I knew I wanted to put up in my home, as a constant reminder of who is in charge. It has taken me a while to learn this, but over the past year or so my testimony has grown by leaps and bounds. I am thankful to know that I have a loving Father in Heaven who is taking the reins and knows what is best for myself and my family. Being able to give Him control and know that He is leading my family is such a freeing feeling. It was a climb to get here, but I am thankful that I am. I am thankful for this little piece of the web and all that God is making it into. I pray today you can be inspired and be your best you. I am thankful for all of your comments this week. You make this mama's heart very happy :)

This is an 8x10 printable on green chevron (I know I am addicted to the Chevron. I need a support group!). Click the picture above to print out your own copy. I ordered my copy from Costco and it was $1.49. It makes me smile, every time I read it. I made it in Picmonkey and am sharing it with you today!

Have a wonderful day lovelies! Oh and did you check out Kristine's Home Tour this morning? It is Fabulous (read that word in a diva singing voice). Check it out HERE.

What have you all been doing to create beautiful on less this week?
