ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your blog! You are so amazing and very inspirational! The husband and I are trying to change the way we live financially and have been trying to decide how to go about it. I stumbled upon your blog and have been looking at everything! I have looked pretty thoroughly through your blog and I can't find anything on saving money on what I like to call "non food" groceries. Toilet paper, make-up, shampoo, soap, q-tips....that kind of stuff. I just spent $70 bucks at Walmart on that kind of junk and it about killed me! I don't feel like I pick the most expensive stuff. I buy my make-up at Walmart for goodness sake and its the same stuff I bought 10+ years ago! I'm a bit of what I like to call a toilet paper snob but that's about all I splurge on! Anyway, just wondering if you have a post somewhere that I missed or if you could share how you save money on that kind of stuff?? One more question.... How do you handle extended family birthdays, anniversaries, and Mother's Day/ Father's Day?? I have six siblings, my husband has four siblings, we have nieces and nephews, and it is all adding up WAY TOO FAST. I don't want to be rude and not do anything but on the same hand when there is seven birthdays in one month alone, by the time you buy the 97 cent cheap cards and pay postage to mail out to everyone that's ten bucks! And for what....a card they'll throw away? Anyway, those are a couple areas I'm struggling with right now and I was just wondering if you had any tips or tricks for either of those topics. Once again, your amazing!
