It's pizza night, which means I have some sweet little red heads helping me in the kitchen today. Their little hands are helping me knead and roll out the dough. I know pizza taste ten times better to them when they have had a hand in its creation. I am thankful for these moments with my children. It gets messy and a bit chaotic in the kitchen, while little hands try to taste test the dough, sauce, cheese.....well basically everything...but I am thankful for the memories made. What are you guys doing for your pizza night this week?
*We are using my thin crust recipe above and we are using canned sauce, since I had some leftover sauce from a church activity.

I could not agree more about children helping out in the kitchen with meals. We had our last pizza night until cooler temps. It just gets way too hot in my little kitchen/house.
ReplyDeleteOur latest fav is sweet Italian sausage with onions and a generous shake of red pepper flakes. The boys-cheesy garlic pizza.
Have a great weekend!
We've been doing homemade pizza night for a couple weeks now and i just have to say thank you!!!!!! for your pizza crust recipes! I use them every single friday night and my family loves it! So again thank you for your yummy recipes! :)
ReplyDeleteOh yummy! We use a thin crust and turkey pepperoni! I can't eat the regular greasy stuff anymore! THis is delightful! Love those mini chefs!
ReplyDeleteYum!! I love making pizza at home!
ReplyDeleteWhere do you find the yeast? I saw you have a tsp measurement, but all I can find in my stores are the packets, and they're not very cheap (I mean, maybe they are, but I seem to remember last time almost $2 for 4 packets =/)
ReplyDeleteHey Viv! I buy it at Costco. It comes in a 1 lb package and is under $5. That's an amazing price for yeast;)
DeleteI love that you have a Friday Night Special! This summer, we are thinking that Sundays will just become our cheeseburger night. Thanks for the inspiration! -Megan @ The Midnight Scribe
