We found Choose Your Own Adventure DVD's at the library a few weeks ago. I didn't even know they made those. We have been reading the books and love controlling the outcome of the story. The DVD was just as fun! We grabbed some cereal, the remote control, and went on an adventure...err...like five adventures. We kept trying to change the ending. The rest of these pictures are from our week. Writing, dirty dishes, no make-up, reading new blogs, and apples for a snack....you know just the glamorous things that encompass my days. What are you all up to this lovely December day?

  2. I was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Malawi, Africa and basically made everything by hand. I thought you might like a recipe for tortillas because they are SO easy to make (I haven't read too much of your blog...so far just the budgeting stuff).

    2 cups flour
    1 tsp salt
    1/4 cup oil
    3/4 cup water

    mix the flour/salt together.
measure out oil and water and whisk together (they shouldn't be separated).
After whisking, pour oil/water into the flour mix and fold it in with your hands. Keep folding until it is smooth and lump-free. Let sit for a while (the longer, the more delicious - an hour is usually good).

We added spices, esp. garlic powder (I'm garlic obsessed!).
We didn't have refrigerators so we never chilled it or anything but just left it out (in essentially Florida type weather).

    Hope you like it!

  3. How do you do it all? I have ONE 1 year old and I feel like it takes every ounce of energy for me to watch him. If I cook dinner, I've kicked the day's butt! You are amazing!

    1. Trust me I don't. If you saw my messy house right now you would know what I mean. haha! Didn't you see the dirty dishes in the post? :> I do try to manage my time as well as I can though and I am a night owl, which helps. I think it just takes practice. I have been doing this for so long it has become second nature. Baby steps is what helped me:>

    2. I totally agree with Danielle's response; you get better with practice. Life doesn't get easier (that's for sure!), but you get better at handling it. Just take your time, forgive yourself, and keep trying your best every day. You will get there!
