How to Dress for the Holidays and SAVE!

Hi! My name's Danielle! I'm so excited to be guest blogging (for the 1st time!) here at Blissful and Domestic! I blog over at Goodwillista- a blog dedicated to inspiring you that you don't have to spend much to look great! On my blog I show off my thrift store and bargain finds!

Soooo, Christmas is coming up! I wanted to show you some holiday party outfits that I put together many from thrift stores, because I think you should SAVE your money on gifts and not worry about spending a fortune to look good for all those family members and friends you haven't seen in a while!

This outfit is SO simple! Just put on your favorite LBD (little black dress), throw on some tights and a cardigan, and belt it! I'm sure everyone has these items in their closet, but if not, just head on over to your local thrift store where I bet you could find em'!
Dress: Plato's Closet $6.99
Cardigan: Goodwill $3.49
Belt: TJ Maxx Clearance $0.70 (yepp, you read that right!)
Tights: Old
Booties: Rack Room Shoes BOGO $35.00
Total Outfit Cost: $46.18

Blouse: Goodwill 3.49
Skirt: Goodwill $3.49
Tights: Old
Belt: TJ Maxx Clearance $0.70
Flats: Goodwill $3.49
Total Outfit Cost: $11.17
Here's a close up so you can see the scalloped collar detail!

So, maybe you're thinking, "A dress? A skirt? My family is way too casual for all that!" Mine too, haha. Except for me, I'm usually all dressed up! But, here's an option for you if you don't want to be too dressy.
Cardigan: Walmart $10.00
Blouse: Goodwill $3.49
Jeans: Express Clearance $11.00
Boots: Random website that I don't remember $40.00
Pearl Necklace: Goodwill $1.99
Pearl Earrings: Forever 21 Old
Total Outfit Cost: $66.48

Thanks for reading! I hope you'll stop by! Happy Holidays :)

  3. Wow! I love all those outfits! I love going to thrift stores but I usually don't look at the clothes because I don't think I'll find anything good. But you inspired me to search until I find some cute stuff! You look like you're wearing an expensive outfit from like Ann Taylor :)
