I'm Randi from Dukes and Duchesses and I'm so happy to have a chance to introduce myself here at Blissful and Domestic.
I'm a Canadian-turned-Texan {in location only} who's been married to my husband, Phil, for sixteen years. We have five awesome, busy kids: Elijah is thirteen, Kennedy is twelve, Luke and Lila are five year old twins, and Tate is almost two. I love being their mom and feel so blessed by our big family.
When I'm not making dinner or cleaning up kid spills, I love to craft. It's kind of my way to relax and unwind. I knit, I sew, I scrapbook, I plan parties, and I copy. Pinterest has my copying vibe on overdrive these days.
My blog, Dukes and Duchesses, started as an outlet and a way to share life in our family. It slowly evolved into a blog that showcases creativity in many forms and shares life in our family of seven.
One of my very favorite things is planning theme parties - birthday parties, themed playdates, Christmas parties - I love them all.
I thought I'd share three of my favorites with you here.
I loved my baby's first birthday. She had a Posies and Pinwheels theme in orange and pink and she wore the cutest stinkin' hat {knit, of course}.

I loved the activity jars we had for entertainment ... so simple to put together and lots of fun for little ones.
On the other end of the spectrum, my oldest wanted nothing cute or sweet when he turned thirteen. In fact, much to my chagrin, he may have outgrown theme parties. For his thirteenth birthday, we had a driving scavenger hunt {so fun!} followed by pizza and goodies. I decorated in a very utilitarian style, pleasing to his thirteen year old {picky} eye.
And my most popular party to date was my twins' camping party last spring. A tent in the back yard, fishing at our neighborhood pond, and camping cupcakes made it a lot of fun.
Thanks for letting me pop in here today ... I'd love it if you'd stop by Dukes and Duchesses and say hi!
