Our Home Part 4

Hey lovelies. We are in the kitchen today, which has seriously gone under a HUGE transformation. I have been creating like crazy in there. Before I get started though I wanted to remind you all about the Whimsybell give away this week.

This necklace is just lovely. Don't forget to enter.

Now onto our kitchen renovation, which is still not finished, but getting closer everyday.

Now when we moved in I showed you here and here how we went from really nothing in the kitchen to a fully functioning kitchen. Now this was all because of Hubby's superb man skills. He built the cabinets and we purchased our stove from craigslist. Saved a bundle that way.

We didn't have any money though to make this space cute. I wanted to let you know that, so you know you don't have to spend money to make a space cute. Most items came from around our house and from my craft stash. I did spend $5 on the green kitchen rug and bought a tub of chalkboard paint for $10. So decorating wise this redo only cost me $15, not including the price of building the cabinets and buying a stove. (I include that in structure and cuteness)

The biggest thing I did in there was paint the cabinets and add shelves.

This was real simple. The cabinets were already sanded.
I just painted white over them and sanded the edges so it was a little worn.
Took half a day and my littles actually helped painting the doors outside.

I also added shelves (re-purposed from bubbas old room). I just painted them black. I also printed out some printables and framed them. Insta cuteness:>

I added a chalkboard to our wall, above our freezer chest. I thought this was a great use of empty space. And now the kids and I write out our summer fun schedule for the week:> they love it!

Painted an old fruit bowl

Added some cute vinyl to a soap dispenser and butter dish

I added some cute containers to hold spices

Made my own cookie jar out of a pretzel container

That is pretty much the breakdown so far. It is surprising how just a few little things can really change a room. Now I promised yesterday some printables for you all. I have created a bunch to use in my house and wanted to share them with you today. If you do use them. Take a pic and send it my way. I will feature it here:>

Enjoy and Happy Crafting today. Tomorrow we will be in the hallway, where I painted and decorated for free, all by myself. I am a women on a mission with a paint brush and I love it:>
