Thrifty Spending: Halloween Costumes

We have our costumes ready for Halloween and it is only the first week in October. I am doing pretty well with my time management so far this month. I hope my trend continues  I actually have to say thank you to my friend Allison. She was over on Friday and told me how DI (Deseret Industries) had just put out all the Halloween Costumes. It had not crossed my mind to go to a thrift store to look for Halloween costumes. So obvious now, but at the time it was not in my head. Anyways I took the kids on Saturday and we had such good luck. We found a Spider-man and Belle (from Beauty and the Beast) costume for my littles. They were both under $6. They are now washed and hanging in their closet awaiting the first opportunity this month when they can wear them. I am so thankful for thrift stores. They making living on a budget and enjoying the holidays with your family actually possible. Thank you DI!
