Learning with Hearts

As it is the month of hearts and love we have been recognizing that in our efforts to work on subtraction and addition in our home. I purchased a pack of heart erasers from the dollar section at Target. We have been using those and Hershey Kisses as manipulative during our Math exercises. These have been fun things to help us when solving our Math problems. Plus if they are good, and finish their lessons without whining, they get a little kiss from me and a chocolate one as well. Oh how everyone wins with that one.

Over all our Math skills are improving. Libby is now doing addition problems with +0 and +1 (1+1 and 2+0 for example). Keagan has moved on to working on subtraction with the -1, -2, and -3. Subtraction is a much harder feat than adding, but we are slowly and surly improving.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend with your loved ones and remember V-day is Monday! Hooray!

Have a Blessed Day!
