Christmas Stocking Garland

I just wanted to do a quick post on a fun, simple, home-made  gift idea. This is not an original idea of mine. My motherinlaw was actually who inspired me to make this. She was telling my sisinlaw and I about the cute garland she used to make when her kids were little. I decided we needed some of this garland as well. These were so simple to make and have basically been consuming my nights lately, since I decided to give a few as gifts. Here is what I did:

1) Make a stocking cutout out of scrap paper. This will become your pattern. I then made sure my fabric was folded in half. This gave me 2 stocking cut outs once I had cut the pattern out.

2) put the wrong sides together and sew around the edge. I then added fun trimmings, like ric rac, patches, bows, and random strips of left over Christmas fabric. I made about 8-10 stockings per string of garland.

3) I took my finished stockings and just clothespinned them onto a string of ribbon.

4) tack onto your wall and you are good to go.

See I told you. Super simple and absolutely adorable.

Have a Blessed Day!
