I love this idea, too!Kristinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10981556809008823987noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4835984507855163277.post-6925418480481190912012-02-08T11:14:54.019-07:002012-02-08T11:14:54.019-07:00I have been doing a similar thing with my daughter...I have been doing a similar thing with my daughter recently though just with flashcards - like the idea of using post its as then they can be stuck anywhere. How did you teach parts of speech as so far I have just been getting my daughter to make the sentence make sense and I am sure it would be a lot easier if she knew what a verb was!Bronwynhttp://www.peanutbutterpumpkinpie.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4835984507855163277.post-35996065412104003732012-02-05T12:39:36.681-07:002012-02-05T12:39:36.681-07:00This really looks like fun! Thanks for sharing!!!!
I'll try to make this short...we have been learning how to run a grocery store for math. It is part of Saxon Math we use, but anyone could do this. If you interested I will email you more details.
BTW-I TOTALLY agree about homeschooling! SO worth it, BUT SO HARD some days! I still would never trade it!Tashahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17054658108560099003noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4835984507855163277.post-22928794591860602492012-01-26T10:09:02.370-07:002012-01-26T10:09:02.370-07:00My oldest is in first grade (tear) and he has been...My oldest is in first grade (tear) and he has been learning all types of new words. So we did sight word baseball. I made all the bases out of construction paper and taped them to my kitchen floor. I then wrote all the sight words he is working on on index cards. If he got the word right, he moved to the next base. Everytime he made it home, he got a point on his score sheet. He had a BLAST!! Just thought I would share! And homeschooling is the hardest and most rewarding job ever!! Thanks for sharing your wonderful ideas!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11277430836512815857noreply@blogger.com
