When he got home, he asked me if I felt very exuberant and would want to take the kids out. Lately I've been feeling the opposite of exuberant. I feel like a bear hibernating. I like my little cave and don't want to venture out much. Really it's having a new baby, who nurses all the time and is still getting the hang of napping. It's much easier when we have slow days at home. I've been thriving on slow lately.
A family outing sounded amazing though and he had the idea of us all going out for burgers and fries. I never turn down burgers or some time off in the kitchen.
We went for a drive to see where the Tucson LDS Temple is being built. I was taken back by the absolute beauty of it all. It's breathtaking. I can't wait to see it all finished. The temple is a sacred place. A House of the Lord, where families are sealed together for time and all eternity. I can't wait till it's finished and we can take the kids to the open house. It will be such a fun experience.
Afterwards, we went to Culver's. The kids and I ate burgers and fries. Jason had a Reuben. Then everyone, but the baby and I, tried custard for the first time. I was told it was delicious :)
I'm thankful for our little adventures as a family. They're the best!
XO Danielle
Looks as if you had a lovely family outing. You look terrific Danielle...you said you were taking things slow but taking it slow looks good on you. :) Keep up the good work and stay encouraged.
