Deep Cleaning AKA "Nesting"....

It's hit friends. That unstoppable urge to get the house clean...like top to bottom clean. I woke this morning and happily realized I was officially 36 weeks pregnant. I can't believe that in less than four weeks I get to meet my little Tallia. That means ninth month of pregnancy here I come!

I decided to get caught up on the cleaning and packing this week. The kids and I are going to take a room or section of the house and deep clean it each day, packing up as we go along.

Today I tackled the kitchen. I wiped down shelves, pulled everything out and vacuumed, cleaned out the microwave, organized the pantry and fridge/freezer, cleaned the stove, and vacuumed the window sill and any cobwebs I found (there were a few). After all that was done, I mopped the whole area. The kitchen is now spic and span. It feels good to know that my kitchen is in tip top shape.

For the rest of the week I have come up with a game plan. We're going to pick a space each day and work on it together.

Monday -- laundry area
Tuesday -- bathrooms
Wednesday -- hallway
Thursday -- bedrooms
Friday -- living room/dinning room

The goal is to have everything cleaned and packed in these rooms by the end of the week. This will then allow us to relax and maintain over the next weeks, while we count down to baby day.

Have you heard about slurpee day at 7-11 and 58 cent short stacks at ihop? Both are happening this week. Just wanted to share :)
