After I went to the dollar store, I shared the video here on Tuesday, the red heads and I went to Wal-Mart to finish up our haul. We found quite a few more items to round out our homeschool supplies. All of our homeschool purchases come from an account of our budget that we save money into throughout the year. I set a homeschool allotment each month for supplies and activities. We use this money each month. If any money is left over it rolls over into the next month. When it comes to the summer, we start trying to put a little bit more away each month, so that we can save for any curriculum items that will need to be purchased for the upcoming school year. I try to keep things as frugally as possible. We don't have a very big homeschooling budget and I don't believe that you need to spend a fortune for your children either. I am working on a post now to share what we are using for homeschooling this year and how we have saved when buying curriculum. Be on the look out for that next week :)
For now enjoy this video and let me know in the comments how you guys are saving, as you gear up for back to school. Let's encourage and inspire one another. I love all your awesome ideas!
