    Hi Danielle - Love the skirt - so cute! I want to try and make one but I'm not clear on the waistband sash area. Looks like you sewed the sash on before you put the zipper in? Did you put the zipper through the sash, and if not, how did you do it? Thanks!

      Thanks lady! Yes I added the zipper last. You pin, sew, and then use a seam ripper to open up the zipper. I had to open up the skirt and the sash to make room for the zipper. Does that make sense? Let me know I can try to explain it better.

    Thanks Danielle - I think I get it - just put the zipper in through the sash, cutting the skirt and the sash open for the zipper. Thanks for your quick response. I'll let you know how mine turns out!!

    This skirt is SO cute! Unfortunately I don't wear skirts - my other blog is a weightloss blog. :) I think it would be great to make for my step-daughter, though. Heading over to see how it's done!

    Gorgeous! I am so obsessed with chevron print at the moment since I only discovered what that word meant a few weeks ago, it has now drawn me to anything chevron related.
