Every Christmas morning we open presents at our house and then race over to my parents for breakfast and more presents. This year after presents were opened and breakfasts was being made, I noticed something. My Mom and Dad were making breakfast, just like they do every year. My dad was mixing his Bisquick pancake batter and guess what? He was using the same bowl he used many, many years ago when I would help him stir. That simple bowl brought back so many memories of me helping my parents in the kitchen. I am thankful for family, which I get to spend the holidays with. I am thankful for a Dad who always makes WAY to many pancakes. We enjoyed those pancakes for days after Christmas. They were real good. I am thankful for a brother who always makes me laugh. I am just thankful for family. I hope you all were able to spend time with loved ones over the holidays. I am thankful that you all come to my little piece of blog land and share a few moments of your day with me. Tonight I am just thankful for life and for all my blessings.
I love moments like that...and I love the picture of your kids hugging, how sweet! Have a great 2013!
