Forever and a day ago, I received a sweet package in the mail. The lovely people at BurlapFabric.com sent me a huge roll of cut burlap. They sent me so much I am still finding projects to create with it. Earlier this year I shared my burlap wreath I made. I loved working with it then and knew come Christmas time, I would be busting out my burlap again. This garland took me literally five minutes to make. Since the burlap is already pre-cut in a strip, I was able to quickly ruffle the burlap and create a garland for my tree.
I just folded over the burlap every few inches. I did a straight stitch down the whole strip of burlap. I back-stitched my ends. I love the rustic look of burlap. It goes with everything and looks great!
What do you think?
What type of garland do you have on your tree this year?

How cute! I stink at making garlands look nice on my tree! Yours looks fabulous!
ReplyDeleteThanks Danni. It was all the littles. I just did the garland and let them do all the ornaments. They did pretty well:>
DeleteYour tree is beautiful and I just bet there is a story behind each of the ornaments. The burlap garland is delightful. We didn't put a garland on our big tree this year, just some tinsel. Little Dog kept her distance whilst we were decorating the tree unsure of what was going on but when we were having lunch she wandered into the kitchen wearing some tinsel so we knew she'd checked out the tree.
ReplyDeleteI remember tinsel. We just saw some at the store, but I couldn't convince my hubby of it's awesomeness:> Love that you're using tinsel. So fun!
DeleteLove it Danielle! Fabulous idea using burlap as garland. Looks great with all your fun colored ornaments.
ReplyDeleteThanks Cassidy. You are too sweet:>
