Hello Blissful and Domestic Readers!
My name is Chrissy and I blog over at The Taylor House
I am a Mom to two little boys and wife of 15 years to my high school sweet heart!
I love to share recipes, crafts, organizing tips and life in general
on my blog.
Stop by and check it out!
I have a really yummy recipe for Creme De Menthe Cake to share with you today.  I got this recipe years ago from a neighbor and friend, it was instantly a favorite in our house.  The colors seem to be such a great fit for St. Patty's Day, but it is yummy whenever!
Prepare 1 box white cake mix as directed, except substitute 3 tablespoons Creme de Menthe flavoring or liqueur,
for 3 tablespoons water.
Pour into 13x9 inch pan and bake according to package directions. Remove from oven and while HOT, poke holes in cake with fork.
Then pour chocolate syrup over the top. Refrigerate
(or freeze, if desired).
After cooling, mix whipped topping with 2 tablespoons of creme de menthe and spread on cake.  I added some crushed up Andies Mints on top as a garnish and extra goodie.
 Keep refrigerated. Freezes great!!

Ingredients

  • 1 (18.25 ounce) package white cake mix
  • 3 tablespoons creme de menthe liqueur
  • 1 (16 ounce) can chocolate syrup
  • 1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
  • 2 tablespoons creme de menthe liqueur
Directions
  1. Prepare 1 box white cake mix as directed, except substitute 3 tablespoons Creme de Menthe flavoring or liqueur, for 3 tablespoons water.
  2. Pour into 13x9 inch pan and bake according to package directions.
  3. Remove from oven and while HOT, poke holes in cake with fork. Then pour chocolate syrup over the top. Refrigerate (or freeze, if desired). After cooling, mix whipped topping with 2 tablespoons of creme de menthe and spread on cake. Keep refrigerated. Freezes great!!

  1. Hay,I was wondering if you would be interested in doing a guest post for me? I'm going to me moving to MI in a few weeks and will be without a computer for a while. So I need a few guests to fill in. Or if you know who might like to be my guest let me know too.
