I am so excited for today! I get to introduce another new series on Blissful and Domestic. I have been doing so much fun stuff lately and am really enjoying sharing it with all of you. Going along with My Homemade Year, I decided I needed a homemade Christmas this year also. I do this every year, but find I am always having to not make some things because I either run out of time or come December the cash flow is very little to non-existent. I was chatting with my friend Allison when she told me about this fantastic idea she had. Every month she would make one homemade gift for Christmas. By doing this she would save herself a whole lot of time and trouble. She also would have less to do come December, which means more time with those littles we all love so much. I asked her if she minded if I joined in the fun and blogged about it. She had no qualms about me stealing her cute idea, but I did of course want to give her credit for being so dang creative all the time. She is always an inspiration to me..... So thank you Allison! You know you are one talented lady!
So now every 25th I will share a simple homemade project for you. I am going to focus on gifts and probably a little bit of decor. Let's face it, anything Christmas is fun. Right? I am also hoping that you guys will join in the fun and maybe make some gifts of your own. So after this tutorial I am going to have a linky party, which will be up for the rest of the month. Please link up all your Christmas gift ideas. It could be things you have already made or maybe a new gift idea. Anything goes. I love to get great ideas from you. The more people who join in the more fun this will be. So Grab a button and spread the news......
and without further adieu
Lets get crafting....
Today I have a Christmas Legwarmer tutorial for you. These are going to be for Miss Priss. I think they will make a great stocking stuffer. That girl loves anything fancy and I know these legwarmers will be no exception. I got these socks for Christmas from my Mom, but for some reason my feet won't fit in them. Either my feet are HUGE or these socks are on the small side. I am going with the latter, since it makes me feel better
:)
Here is what I did to make these super cute Reindeer Leg Warmers.
Cut the foot part off of your socks.
Hem the end of your socks
Add a pretty bow to the side.
and voila you're done!
Sorry no model for these.
If Miss Priss saw these I would never get them back.
They will go into hiding for another 11 months.
I would love to see what gift ideas you guys have.
Grab a button and link up:)
