Hello everyone at Blissful and Domestic! My name is Alesha and I am really excited to be here and to introduce myself to you all. I am new to this whole world of blogging, but am totally loving it! I blog over at Blessed to be a Blessing and I hope you all can check it out. Here is a little about me.
I got married last May to my high school sweetheart and the man of my dreams! Travis works as the assistant high school and college age pastor at our church. We serve together in both areas and on worship team! He is such a godly and supportive man; I am blessed to have him in my life.
I work as a lifeguard, a swim lesson/water exercise instructor, and a tutor. I really enjoy anything that has to do with teaching and hope to someday be a full time teacher.
I have been crafting almost my whole life, and after much deliberation, I decided to launch into the world of blogging. My mom is a super-talented woman and as she home schooled me and my 5 younger siblings, she taught (and is still teaching) us to do a wide variety of "crafty" things. My favorite crafts are sewing, knitting, crocheting, making cards, scrapbooking, cooking, and mending...(I know that mending counts as sewing, but I feel like it should be in its own category!).
This is my amazing family and husband! (Sorry for all the wedding pictures. That is the most recent family event that allowed us to get good group photos!) |
Besides crafting, my passions are my relationship with Jesus Christ, hanging with friends, writing, and teaching/tutoring! My love of writing was another factor in my desire to start blogging. Writing is a perfect way to express all four of those passions. I can write about my relationship with God, show off my crafts, "teach" people how to do crafts, and make new friends with other bloggers! So as you might assume, I blog about crafts I do (complete with tutorials), links to other blogs I enjoy, and thoughts I have on the bible. I try to keep all my writing pretty brief. We are all short for time and no one wants to read 3 pages of text! Even me! =)
Here are some crafting photos from my blog...
If you can, head on over to my blog. Comment on my stuff and I'll try to follow your blog too; I am looking forward to making more blogging friends!
