Hello Ladies and Gents! Today we have Rachel from Family Ever After. She is helping us in our countdown to Halloweeen by sharing a fun Rice Krispie Treat recipe today. Rachel is one crafty lady and a new bloggy friend of mine. I am excited to have her here today as a guest. I know Halloween is tomorrow, so let's get out our rice krispies and marshmallows and lets make one more treat with our Littles before the BIG spooky day.
Let's get creating with Rachel.

Hi! I'm Rachel blogging over at Family Ever After, and I'm happy about guest posting on Blissful and Domestic's month of Halloween fun!
My daughters and I made these jack-o-lantern rice krispie treats on Sunday night. (It turns out, I make a lot of rice krispie treats! Who can resist these easy, quick, cheap, buttery treats? I think I'm on my way to making one for each holiday and occasion of the year)!
The faces aren't quite perfect, but I never really strive for perfection when it comes to cooking with my kids. Mostly we just do it for the memories and learning.
Here's a quick run-down on how to make them....
Follow a general rice krispie treat recipe. Only I always add a little more butter....
When the marshmallows are melting, add orange food coloring. You could also throw in a pinch of pumpkin pie spice!
Butter your hands really well, and start rolling into balls!
Make an indention and push a tootsie roll into the top.
Whip up some frosting (I used about 1/2 cup powdered sugar and 1-2 TB heavy cream, eyeball the consistecy). Divide and add green and black food coloring.
Pipe your decorations, using tips and bags or by cutting a small hole in the corner of a ziploc bag.
Happy Halloween!
They're also cute just as a pumpkin.
