Here is a fun little activity we did recently. I got this idea from Cheri at I am Momma Hear Me Roar. This cost me a total of $2.
I purchased two baby food jars for 50¢ each. I also found glow sticks in the dollar section at Target. I cleaned out the jars and removed the labels. I then filled them with water. We cut the tips off of the glue sticks, after snapping them to activate them. If you cut them before snapping them, they won't glow in the jars.
I poured the inside of the glowing sticks into the jars full of water. Your counter might be a little colorful for the rest of the night, but dont worry no counter tops will be harmed permanently. I placed the lid on the jars and let the littles have at it with their glow in the dark dance party.
This was a fun thing, which my children loved. It kind of reminded me of the glow in the dark ghost we made last Halloween. So fun!
Hope you do something fun with your littles today.
Have a fabulous day!
This is them dancing with their jars.
