Last week Hubby really wanted some tartar sauce with fish sticks. Well we didn't have tartar sauce or the money to run to the store to get some. I was going to tell him he would have to go without, but then I had an idea. Maybe I could make my own. I googled a recipe and this is what I came up with.
Serves 6
Side note: We added the leftover chopped pickles to our relish jar. Insta savings in the grocery department:>
1 cup mayonnaise
1 tbsp. prepared mustard (optional)
2 tbsp. sweet pickle relish or 2 tbsp fresh dill
1 tablespoon finely minced onion
1 tbsp. lemon juice
salt and pepper, to taste
In a small bowl, mix together mayonnaise, mustard, sweet pickle relish, and minced onion. Stir in lemon juice. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.1 tbsp. prepared mustard (optional)

1 tablespoon finely minced onion

This turned about yummy and Miss Priss was there to help and taste test of course:>
