Sunshine Monday

Happy Monday all! So I just have to ask, how did everyone enjoy Hair Week? It seemed like everyone loved it. I received a lot of positive comments. I am hoping that everyone got something out of hair week. I for one am absolutely inspired to have cuter hair and to make some cuter hair things. I feel like my collection is lacking, but after last week I have some fun new ideas. I loved having Guest Bloggers so much, that I decided to start making Thursday my day for a guest blogger. I would love to feature you guys. If any of you have a recipe, tip, craft, sewing project to share, let me know. Lets feature you here, as a guest blogger. Just contact me through e-mail or leave me a comment.

Now onto Sunshine Monday. I had quite an interesting experience last week. Hubby and I took the littles for a walk. We walked down to Wal-Mart to get milk. We grabbed the wagon and got to walking. It was hot and tiring, but we made it. As we were coming home, we noticed a bunch of police cars on our street. As we got closer, we realized they were blocking the street. We couldn't get back to our house because of an incident, which was occurring just across the street from our house. It was a little scary to think about, but luckily we were right near a convenience store. We filled our grocery bags with ice, to keep the milk cold, and then sat and waited it out. It took about four hours of waiting outside, but finally the incident was over and we were able to return home. We were tired, very sun burned, and hungry from the wait outside.

Later we were told that the incident ended with a man killing himself. Leaving a wife and children behind. This broke my heart. I have thought about this woman each day, not knowing what I could do. I do not know her. We are new to the neighborhood, but yet I have prayed to know what to do. Yesterday after church I got my answer. Hubby got in the car and informed me he thought I should go introduce myself and ask how this woman was doing. Something so simple, but yet with out his push I was to scarred. I am thankful that the Lord knows our hearts and knows that sometimes we need that little push to reach out to others.

I pray for this family. I pray that they may receive comfort as they deal with the loss of a father, husband, brother, and friend. I don't know what brought this man to the point of wanting to end his life, but I know that there are those who are left behind that must morn that lost and try to understand.

I pray that we all can reach out to those around us this week. To realize that there is more than just our little homes with our littles. I am hoping to reach out to another neighbour this week. If you guys do this come back and lets share. Lets inspire one another to do God's work and to just care about those around us. "Merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance", Prov. 15:13 Let's show that to our friends and neighbors. I hope you all have a Monday full of Sunshine and remember that all ti takes is a hello or simple smile to let someone know we care

I leave you with those thoughts, as I begin my week. I have many pictures from our walk that I wish to share. I will be back tomorrow with recipes and I have a fun new project to share later on as well.
