Home School: Addition Christmas Tree

I just wanted to write up a quick posts on a fun way we are working on math this month.

I started out with a poster board. I painted a Christmas tree on it and then had it laminated.

I found a pack of Christmas ornament cut-outs from Learning is fun. The pack was something like $2.99 and it came with 36 ornament cut-outs inside. I put addition problems on most of the ornaments and then the answers on about 15 of the cut outs.
I gave each of my littles 6 problems. All the answer were layed below our tree. If they got the answer right they were able to put an ornament on the tree.

This was a fun change to our math routine. We will be using this for the whole month. I am also thinking about making some with subtraction problems as well.

Anyway I just wanted to share a simple, fun way we are learning math this month. I also wanted to share some other cute pictures of my littles working on our sight words yesterday. I swear I am in amazement how things are clicking for my bubba and even little Miss Priss. I am just so proud of them. They amaze me every day:

 Have a Blessed Day!
