Well knowing that my daughter has this love for binded paper I decided to make her a cute notebook, with cute Fancy Nancy pens to go along with it.
I took a simple composition notebook and some scrapbook paper I already had, which had a pretty blue design on it.
I then busted out my modge podge and glued my paper onto the front and back of the notebook. I had a piece of scrapbook paper, I found in a huge pack at goodwill, with Disney Princess pictures on it. I cut out a few pictures of the Princess's and glued them to the front of the notebook. I added a bow and my notebook was Princess worthy for my little girl.
I want to make another one for her and maybe even make it more fancy. Maybe with some ruffles or sparkles. I haven't decided yet. I love these so much my nieces may be getting them too .
I also made some pens from the Fancy Nancy books. I forgot to take a picture and decided to google if someone else has made them and I found some over at Kimbocrafts. I hate to say it though I love hers more and now want to remake mine. I only used two feathers at the end of mine. I love how hers are more poofy. I just may be re-purposing my already re-fashioned pens.
Anyways just had to share my simple notebook re-fashion for a little princess. I know mine will love writing her make believe stories in here and drawing pictures of knights and princesses. How is your handmade Christmas going?
Have a Blessed Day!
Your notebook is very cute! I bet your daughter will really like it. My 4 year old has been very much into princes things lately too but is not very aquainted with disney stuff. I am thinking about a crown and other princess stuff for her stocking however.
ReplyDeleteThose pens are pretty cool! I enjoyed the link.
Thanks so much for linking up to a Handmade Christmas.
