Handmade Christmas:Little Girls Re-Fashioned Notebook

So I haven't posted anything else about my goal at having a handmade Christmas this year. I have been working on things a lot lately, but haven't found the time to load the pictures. Abbi over at Proverbs 31 living has reminded me to get myself in gear and continue crafting for Christmas even more. I love that it is already November and I am getting a bunch made. I know this will make for a calmer December, well I can hope right:> Anyways I wanted to quickly share a simple thing I did this weekend for my little girl. Miss Priss loves Princess stuff and loves coloring in notebooks. I don't know what it is about notebooks, but she loves them. I guess she is like her mama that way. I am always carrying around a notebook, so I can quickly write down any notes or ideas I have for myself.

Well knowing that my daughter has this love for binded paper I decided to make her a cute notebook, with cute Fancy Nancy pens to go along with it.

I took a simple composition notebook and some scrapbook paper I already had, which had a pretty blue design on it.
I then busted out my modge podge and glued my paper onto the front and back of the notebook. I had a piece of scrapbook paper, I found in a huge pack at goodwill, with Disney Princess pictures on it. I cut out a few pictures of the Princess's and glued them to the front of the notebook. I added a bow and my notebook was Princess worthy for my little girl.

I want to make another one for her and maybe even make it more fancy. Maybe with some ruffles or sparkles. I haven't decided yet. I love these so much my nieces may be getting them too .

I also made some pens from the Fancy Nancy books. I forgot to take a picture and decided to google if someone else has made them and I found some over at Kimbocrafts. I hate to say it though I love hers more and now want to remake mine. I only used two feathers at the end of mine. I love how hers are more poofy. I just may be re-purposing my already re-fashioned pens.

Anyways just had to share my simple notebook re-fashion for a little princess. I know mine will love writing her make believe stories in here and drawing pictures of knights and princesses. How is your handmade Christmas going?

Have a Blessed Day!

  1. Your notebook is very cute! I bet your daughter will really like it. My 4 year old has been very much into princes things lately too but is not very aquainted with disney stuff. I am thinking about a crown and other princess stuff for her stocking however.

Those pens are pretty cool! I enjoyed the link.

Thanks so much for linking up to a Handmade Christmas.
