Here is a simple banana bread recipe I wanted to share with you. We tried this out this morning and as you can tell from the picture half of it has already been eaten up by my cute family (mailing the kids and I my hubby doesn't do banana bread). It is super easy and yummy, which is exactly how I like my recipes to be. I also love the fact it uses Bisquick. I like to have some Bisquick in our food storage and of course love to find new recipes for it. Hope you guys are having an awesome day
2 cup Bisquick
1/4 tsp Baking Soda
2/3 cup Sugar
2 eggs
1 cup mashed bananas (I used 4 ripe bananas)
1/4 cup walnuts (optional)
1/4 cup chocolate chips (optional)
Combine Bisquick, sugar, and baking soda. Mix with electric mixer. Add bananas and eggs.Mix well. Add walnuts and chocolate chips. Mix and pour into a greased bread pan 9x5. Bake @ 350 for 45-60 minutes (Mine took about 55 minutes).
Hope everyone has an awesome weekend!
I was skeptical that banana bread made with Bisquick could taste as good as the homemade banana bread I grew up with, but I decided to give it a try anyway because if it was good it would be a real time saver. I made it with the chocolate chips in it and it was AMAZING. My hubby and I really gobbled it up in a hurry. He couldn't believe it was a shortcut version made with Bisquick. Thanks so much, this is genius!

ReplyDeleteI just discovered your site last night and love it!
ReplyDeleteI had always made banana bread from scratch, but a couple of years ago I tried the regular banana bread recipe in the Bisquick cookbook (no chocolate chips) and it baked up as tall as regular bread, rather than short like denser scratch recipes. This made it where it could be toasted in the toaster for breakfast. We loved it that way so much that I've never gone back to my old recipes.
