The Year of Saying YES!

 "Let it be done unto me according to Thy word." Luke 1:38

I have been gone so long from my blog I have tons of post I was working on and then forgot about for 2 months. Man time flies when you are busy. Well here is a post from January I think. I took these pictures one rainy day. The kids had been pleading with me to take them outside to run in the puddles. At first I just kept thinking about how I didn't want to get wet and cold, but then I remembered something I had read on a friends blog: Make this a Year of Saying Yes. Of saying yes to your kids when they want to go outside and play or play a board game with you. Make the time for them evern if it means the dishes sit for a while longer. It is funny how this has already made a great impact on my relationship with my kiddos. I feel closer. I no longer feel like the bad guy because I have to say "no not now" or "maybe later when there's time". I want them to know that mommy loves to spend time with them and just how important they are to me. So I put the thoughts of cold and wet aside and took them to jump in puddles in the backyard. It turned out to be so much fun! I enourage you all to make this your year to say yes!

 Seeing those smiles reminds of why I love to be a mom. I am thankful for my Heavenly Father who has in-trusted me with two of his sweet spirits. I am thankful for a husband who supports me and supports my role in being a wife and mother. I pray for all those mothers out there today who are just having one of "those days" we all have had one of those days where everything feels chaotic and out of whack. The kids are cranky or just mad. I pray that God will be with you..... that he will strengthen you and comfort you. Our role as a mom is the most important thing we will do while on this earth. Bask in the knowledge and enjoy it. God is God!
