For this I burst forth,
my purpose to shine
to light a bright path
to the Savior divine.
To beam down a glow
from Heaven to Earth,
a lighting the place
of His holy birth.
My blaze will burn out
once my mission is done,
when all who must find him
seek God's only Son.
