Overall this weekend kind of rocked:>

I am so excited for this week and all my posts I have worked up for you. I have decided that each day I am picking  a room in my house. I will share a project I did in there and then give you a tour of the room. I figured this would be a fun way to share projects and show you the progress of our house.

I have been crazy this week with decorated my house. Today I am going to show you the little Princess's room and a simple lamp revamp I did. Miss Priss's room is in a finished mode finally. It still needs some work, but I am at the point where I love just being in her room, since it is so cute. Don't you love it when you revamp something in your home and then all you want to do is stare at it? I love it!
Here is how her room did look 2 weeks ago:

boring bed against the wall :< BLAH

Her fancy Nancy coatrack, which she loves hanging everything on.
and I mean everything:>

Photobucket

What do you do when your house has no closet doors?
Revamp some thrift store sheets and shower curtains:>

Photobucket

Her room wasn't horrible, but I didn't love it. I didn't feel like it was very put together. I was having a hard time loving her room and then Thursday it came to me. I finally had a vision in my head, of her room, I loved. I went to work right away, with the help of my very strong bubba. He helped me move her bed and everything. My children were laughing at me. They told me "good ideas really do just come to you don't they mama". I couldn't help but laugh. Here is how we rearranged everything...

Photobucket

I took her night-stand and used it to house all of her doll house things.
Much more organized.

I added some chalkboard paint to her room and repositioned her Tinkerbell poster.

Photobucket

Moved the dresser and kitchen set to other side of the room:>
I also reused storage containers to hold toys in.

Bubba and I moved the bed together. I was surprised how heavy this thing was. Good thing I have a tough son:> Her original headboard broke, so I have plans to make her be dinto a day bed and make her a cute fabric headboard.
I used storage boxes under the bed we already had.

and here is a full shot of the closet curtain, as I lovingly call it.

I juts love her room now. It is so orangaized and she just loves playing in it even more now.

Here are my plans for things yet to come:

baseboards
paint touched up and moulding put on top
make ruffled t-shirt quilt for her bed
make cute wall art
make name letters in some cute way, yet to be decided
some flower vinyl for the walls
paint her bed (the bottom part)
Over all not a huge amount left. I am loving her room and how ti came out.

Now here is the quick revamp project I did in her room:

I started with a boring white lamp

Took of the shade and painted it pink

I also hot glued on some lace trim.
I mean it had to be extra fancy:>

Well that is all the cuteness I have for today. Tomorrow we will be venturing into the kitchen. This is my favorite place and , since I love you all so much I have some free printables I will be sharing with you. 3. I love how you have redone your home. I love it. I would love to hear how you made that "bill caddy" because I desperately need something like that in my house! I would love it if you stopped by to share this on my "Sundae Shake Up" Party.
You look familiar to me too. I can't put my finger on it... but I swear I have seen you or met you before in person. Did you or someone you know go to SUU? Or Snow College?
