I recently checked out A Is for Apron: 25 Fresh & Flirty Designs. This was such a fun book, full of great ideas. There were so many awesome re-purposing apron ideas. I had to start sewing the night I got the book. I loved the skirt to apron refashion. This is probably the simplest re-fashion in the book. I literally took a skirt, out of my re-purpose basket, and began cutting. I cut down the side seams, so the front of the skirt was now my apron. I hemmed the sides (the bottom already had the original hem). I created two ties, from the remaining portion of the skirt. I made my strips extra long. I wanted a fun bow to be tied in the back. I attached the ties and voila, a new fun, high waisted, flirty apron. Who says you can't be cute and trendy, while baking in the kitchen
VERY cute!!! Wish I had a sewing machine...I could make one today.
